PRIVACY

Your PRIVACY is our top priority and we are committed to protecting the privacy of your information.  The information that we collect from you will only be used for the purpose of providing medical services and claims and payments.  Our practice will NOT provide any personal information to any third party without your written consent.   Your medical records can only be accessed by Authorised personnel and as a condition or employment, our staff are required to sign a Confidentiality agreement.  A copy of our privacy and confidentiality policy is available from reception.

MEDICAL RECORDS

All our patient records are completely electronic and are maintained with the highest level of security.  Our computer system is protected by Malware and is continually monitored by our IT department for any security breaches.

If you require a copy of your records to be forwarded to another practice,  you will be required to sign a transfer of medical records form.  This relinquishes the duty of care from our doctors to your new doctor.  Our receptionist will ring you to obtain verbal consent and a fee can be associated with this.

MEDICAL STUDENTS

We are a teaching facility and work closely with universities to help with our upcoming graduates.  From time to time we will have medical students who are completing their degree in medicine.  These students will be sitting in with our doctors seeing what's involved in the day to day life of a GP.  Our staff will always inform you of any medical student being present in your consultation and it is completely optional if you want this to happen or not.  Please be assured that you are entitled to say no.

REGISTRARS

Our doctors are also supervisors for Graduated medical doctors.  We have registrars on 6 month rotations training in the specialty of General Practitioner.  These doctors will be open to appointments via HOTDOC.

REMINDER SYSTEMS

Our practice is committed to preventative healthcare.  We have a reminder system in place (HOTDOC) to enable us to send out reminders.  We will always obtain your consent for this and you will have the option to OPT out. Please let our receptionist know your preference.

Appointment reminders will go out via SMS txt message the day before your upcoming appointment.  We also send out reminders for non-urgent results and events such as upcoming reviews, skin checks or vaccinations etc.  We also have phone calls and letter follow ups in place so that nothing is missed.

VISITING SPECIALIST

Dr Omar Adham is a Gynecologists/Obstetrician who visits our rooms once every 6 weeks.  He is open to new patients and you will required a referral from your GP to see this specialist.  He is a private billing doctor and our receptionist can let you know the associated costs.
