Helpful information

Some patients may not be aware of their role or the part they play in their own treatment, you have the right to make informed decisions about your health, medical treatment, referrals and procedures. Our clinical team have a duty to provide information that patients can understand, and that is tailored to your individual needs. As a patient at our practice you have the right to a second opinion, whether that be another Doctor at our practice or a Doctor at another practice.

All our patient records are completely electronic, we maintain a high level of security with all staff associated with the practice signing confidentiality agreements, it is a condition of their employment that they abide by this agreement. Your privacy is our top prioirty, your medical records can only be accessed by authorised perrsonnel and our computer system is protected by Malware and is continually monitored. A copy of our privacy policy is available from reception. If you require a copy of your health records we have a request for records form you can sign and we can send your records onto another practice or if you just wish to have a copy of your latest blood test our reception staff can print a copy for you once it has been checked by a GP and you have discussed the results with them.

Our Practice uses SMS for reminders and recalls.  If you would like to opt out of this service then please let our Reception Staff know.

Patients should not use email to contact the Practice in an emergency.  Patients contacting the Practice by email can expect to wait up to two days for a response.  Our Practice will not send any personal information by email unless specifically requested in writing by the patient. Our practice email policy states that patients are to send their request via email and our staff will responed to that same email, ensuring the address is correct.

Script clinic - Our practice offers a script clinic twice a week (Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 9-9.30am) These clinics are for one or two scripts ONLY, you will need to make an appointment with our reception staff for this clinic, your appointment in this clinic will be bulk billed.

Due to the current COVID pandemic, if you have been to our surgery in the last 12 months, we can offer you a telehealth appointment where a face to face appointment is not needed.  This service can be used for the renewal of scripts, repeat referrals or receiving test results.
